The Shorecrest Dance Team's purpose has been to promote diversity within the community by using hip hop dance as its medium The students develop a sense of camaraderie with his/her fellow teammate while learning teamwork, responsibility, and hip hop dance.
Representin' HIP-HOP culture at it's finest, the Shorecrest Dance Team has been an exciting part of Shorecrest and the community. With their crowd pleasing moves and highly anticipated dance routines, they have amazed many crowds wherever they perform. Striving to be better everytime, they practice hard everyday to master their routines and look as good as possible.
The dance team participates in school assemblies, basketball and football games, community service events, and several WIAA Dance/Drill Competitions.
They meet regularly every week with Coach Rex Kinney at the Shoreline Center's Spartan Gym where they learn and perfect their routines for the year.
Starting out as an after school ASB Club, the team has grown into an award winning dance group. It has won several WIAA Dance/Drill Competitions, District Titles, and a State Championship Title.
